BUON ME THUOT – KONTUM – QUANG NGAI – HOI AN

Overview:

Explore a unique Vetnam with open mind ethnic peolpe who live in vast forests, huge coffee fields and enjoy an intangible World Heritage. You can also visit some historic sites along the national road such as My Lai memorial in Quang Ngai or My Son holy Cham ruins.

This journey will help you know more about Vietnamese hidden charm along the S shaped country.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Sai Gon to Buon Ma Thuot (Lunch)

Full day excursion on the historical highway 14: Visit the HoChiMinh Trail at the Daksong Junction and the Draysap Waterfalls on the way to Buon Ma Thuot. Enjoy the famous coffee in town. O/N DamSan hotel.

Day 2: Buon Ma Thuot to Pleiku to Kon Tum (Breakfast, lunch)

Travelling north to Kon Tum we stop at a sacred Ede Tribe cemetery and the volcanic lake in Plei ku. Late afternoon promenade around Kontum quiet town, coffee break at Eva cafe to discover the life style of hill tribe. O/N Indochine hotel.

Day 3: KonTum: Dance with the Bahnar tribe. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

See the old battlefields around Dak To. Visit Sedang villages - Dakrijol and Dakripeng - and cross suspension bridges during this 4km trek. In the afternoon hike to Konchori and Konkotu village with time to swim in Dakbla River. In the evening enjoy traditional gong music of the Bahnar tribe before staying in a Rong House at Konkotu village.

Another choice will be a trekking day to Konplong area with villages of different tribes, picnic lunch. Afternoon river raft down Dakbla river to Konkotu village. O/N in Rong house of Konkotu village.

Day 4: Kon Tum to Quang Ngai. (Breakfast, lunch)

Trek back to Kon Tum via K’pong and K’nam villages, visiting a Bahnar tribe wooden church. Depart for Quang Ngai. Back country road through the tropical forest with villages of Sedang and Hre tribes. If time permitting, we visit MyLai memorial (MyLai massacre in 1968) late afternoon. O/N MyTra hotel.

Day 5: Quang Ngai to Hoi An. (Breakfast, lunch)

Excursion north to Hoi An with a stop at MySon’s holy Cham ruins (World Heritage). Continue to Hoian ancient town. Check in hotel. O/N Hoi An hotel. Tour end.
