SAPA MEDIUM TREK – HA LONG

Overview:

Sapa is famous for poetry scenery, ladder paddy fields, all city hidden into fog every morning, will be the best choice for your journey. This trip will open your mind in a very unique place. You can easly make friends with the local people who always warmly welcome you.

Itinerary:

NIGHT 1: HANOI – LAO CAI

* 19.30- 20.00 Mini bus or taxi will take you from your hotel to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train to Lao Cai Station. Overnight on train (soft sleeper with A/C, 4 people/cabin or 2 people/cabin on request).

DAY 1: LAO CAI – SA PA – LAO CHAI – TA VAN VILLAGE

* Arrive at Lao Cai Station early in the morning, transfer to Sa Pa by car or van

* Trekking downhill to the valley. Cross Muong Hoa River to get to the other mountainside for 2 villages of the H'mong and the Dzay – Lao Chai and the Grey Village of Ta Van. Picnic lunch on the way. Have dinner and spend the night in homestay where you can have unique experience among hill tribe people.

DAY 2: GIANG TA CHAI – SA PA

* After breakfast, we continue to visit Red Dzao people at Giang Ta Chai Village, where we can also see a waterfall. The Red Dzao women have very colorful embroideries and coins on their clothing and a red scarf on the head. Some of them shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Dzao legend. Jeep car pick you up to Sa pa. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 3: SA PA - CAT CAT VILLAGE – SIN CHAI VILLAGE - LAO CAI – HA NOI

* Have breakfast at the hotel then walk to the nearest village - Cat Cat to visit the H'mong people, the hydroelectric power station built by French and Cat Cat waterfall.

* Visit Sin Chai Village to learn about textiles or music and dance.

* Hike back up to Sa Pa and free to explore the town. Get on the bus to Lao Cai Station in late afternoon for the night train back to Hanoi.

DAY 4: HANOI- HALONG

* Arrive in Hanoi around 5 am at Hanoi Railway Station. taxi to Queen Travel hotel for breakfast then mini bus or private car will pick you up at your hotel around 07:45- 08:30 am. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta. Have a soft break at Hai Duong and enjoy local specialties.

* Arrive at Ha Long Bay at 12 noon approx, check-in registration. Join us for a relaxing lunch in the restaurant or on the outdoor dining area enjoying the stunning views of the Bay.

* In the afternoon : head towards Ha Long Bay; pass through Dinh Huong, Ga Choi, Dog islet, Sail Island and visit Surprise Cave- the finest and widest grottoes of Ha Long Bay and Soi Sim or Titov Beach where you can go swimming in the crystal clear and warm waters or sunbathing on deck. Relax and enjoy sunset.

* Kayaking: After visiting Surprise Cave, you can go kayaking from Titov Beach to Luon Cave or Bo Nau Cave to Soi Sim/ Titov Beach. This is the best way to discover the lagoons, the coral reef, beaches and limestone peaks (suitable for all levels and ages). Accommodate overnight on junk.

DAY 5: HALONG – HA NOI

* In the morning: take an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay or have an early morning swim. Breakfast with coffee/tea, fruit or cake is served. Enjoy the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the crystal-clear water of the Bay.

* Visit Ba Hang Fishing Village to experience the lifestyle of local people. Sail pass some rock formations such as: Man’s Head, Tortoise, Lion islet, Butterfly cave, Bai Tho mountain on the way back to Ha Long City.

* 12 noon: Return to the shore and disembark then transfer to minibus or private car and return to Hanoi. Arrival back at your hotel approximately 16:30/17:00

NOTE: Bring good trekking shoes/boots; rainwear; warm jacket; sunscreen and cap/hat; passport and insect repellent. Big luggage should be left at your hotel or our office.
